I am a clinically oriented rheumatologist with focused expertise in the comprehensive management of autoimmune and inflammatory rheumatic diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, spondyloarthritis, connective tissue diseases, vasculitis, and crystal arthropathies. My practice emphasizes early diagnosis, treat-to-target strategies, and individualized patient care integrating clinical, serological, and imaging findings. A key component of my clinical work involves the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSK-USG) as an extension of physical examination. I routinely employ ultrasound for the assessment of synovitis, tenosynovitis, enthesitis, erosions, and crystal deposition, enhancing diagnostic accuracy and enabling real-time disease activity evaluation. Power Doppler assessment is incorporated to identify active inflammation and guide therapeutic decisions. I have substantial experience in performing ultrasound-guided procedures, which improve precision, safety, and patient outcomes compared to blind techniques. These include intra-articular and periarticular corticosteroid injections (small and large joints), tendon sheath injections, enthesis-targeted therapies, and aspirations of joints and bursae. I am also proficient in guided procedures for difficult or deep-seated joints such as the hip, shoulder, and sacroiliac joints.
