Immunization and Vaccination Administer vaccines and educate parents on immunization schedules. Conducting Routine Checkups Perform regular medical examinations for newborns, infants, and children. Providing Nutritional Advice Guide parents on breastfeeding, balanced diets, and proper nutrition for children. Managing Newborn Care Examine and care for newborn babies, including premature or sick infants. Treating Chronic Conditions Manage long-term illnesses such as asthma, sickle cell disease, diabetes, and epilepsy in children. Health Education for Parents Counsel parents on hygiene, child safety, growth milestones, and disease prevention. Detecting Developmental Disorders Identify conditions such as autism, speech delays, learning difficulties, and behavioral problems. Emergency Pediatric Care Provide urgent medical treatment for childhood emergencies and injuries. Ordering and Interpreting Tests Request laboratory tests, scans, and other investigations to diagnose illnesses. Referring to Specialists Refer children to pediatric surgeons, neurologists, cardiologists, or other specialists when necessary.
