As a Consultant Medical Oncologist with over 35 years of clinical, academic and research experience spanning India, the United Kingdom, the Middle East, Africa and South America. A 1990 graduate of Government Medical College, Calicut, holding Diploma in Clinical Oncology from the Royal Cancer Hospital and Institute of Cancer Research, London (1994), along with postgraduate qualifications in Acute Oncology (University of Liverpool) and Molecular Oncology (biosciences Studies Centre, Madrid). The first Medical Oncologist to practise in Calicut, and has since held senior consultant and has since held senior consultant and academic positions in India and abroad including Head of the Department of Medical Oncology at the Cochin Cancer Research Centre, Ernakulam.
