As a general physician my role will include the following - 1. Diagnosing and Treating Illnesses • Assessing patients’ symptoms and medical history • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests (e.g., blood tests, X-rays) • Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses like diabetes, hypertension, infections, etc. • Referring patients to specialists when necessary 2. Preventive Healthcare • Conducting routine check-ups and screenings • Providing vaccinations and immunizations • Advising on healthy lifestyles. 3. Managing Chronic Diseases • Monitoring long-term conditions like asthma, heart disease, or arthritis • Adjusting medications and treatment plans as needed. 4.Mental Health Support • Assessing and managing common mental health issues (anxiety, depression) • Referring to psychiatrists or therapists when necessary 5. Health Education and Counseling • Educating patients on disease prevention and management • Counseling on reproductive health, family planning, and aging-related issues
