I have been practising since the past six years. Even when I was a student I used to go to my father’s clinic after finishing my MBBS classes. So I think I have good knowledge over medicine and patient care But I try to solve as much as I can at my level. For eg. keeping a fetoscope to monitor normal pregnancy. Keeping and using an ophthalmoscope to manage my diabetes patients by detecting amd yearly monitoring retina of patients Using an otoscope so detect and treating ear condition at primary level without having to refer since the patient expects me to solve it and it is under my purview I prefer to refer only the cases which I feel aren’t under my in depth Knowledge For eg. even a couple of days back a patient came to me with an infected abscess after receiveing injection from a quack. I performed thorough excision And still been around four weeks. I am doing regular dressings for proper follow-up and now the patient is thriving and the wound has been almost healed so I try to treat every thing that I can without putting the patient in a hassle to go to a specialist
