As a Resident Medical Officer at SSMC, I provided safe, patient-centred primary care for acute and chronic presentations. My responsibilities included history-taking, physical examination, clinical assessment, requesting and interpreting investigations, prescribing treatment, arranging follow-up, completing medical documentation, and coordinating referrals to specialists or emergency care when clinically indicated. I also supported preventive health, patient education, chronic disease monitoring, and collaborative care with nurses and allied health staff.
