I’m a general physician with special interests in care for the elderly and neurology, especially in movement disorders and dementia.

“Ageing gracefully” is the fundamental of geriatric medicine, alongside with the healthy biological age, the physical age plays an essential role for encouraging the elderlies to stay confident with their physical appearance. The “Aging gracefully” is basically a global discussion that has drawn tremendous attentions from many countries, including Malaysia. However, the trend of “aging gracefully” has been frequently interpreted as mere aesthetic medicine to focus on the preservation of the youth and beauty of the elderly while the physical aging has generally been paid minimally in attention. We want an aging people to regain their physical and mental health in a positive way and both are equally important . 

As a general physician, my works include seeing patients in the Medical Assessment Unit, occasionally ED if the patients need to be reviewed in advance. Some other routine works include: Same day emergency care, morning ward round in the acute wards. We also see patients in the outpatient setting which consists of general geriatric patients, stroke clinic/ TIA clinic, movement disorders and others with complex illnesses. I am also proud of to say my rapport with the patients has been a plus point for me to practiced as a medical practitioner. I’m able to use Chinese, English, Hokkien ( Taiwanese) , Cantonese ( Hong Kong ) and Malay to communicate with them.
