Liane Athayde Beringhs Bueno

I am a physician with over 30 years of experience integrating conventional medical practice with evidence-based Integrative and Complementary Health approaches. My expertise spans emergency medicine, clinical nutrition, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), phytotherapy, and homeopathy—fields in which I have pursued advanced postgraduate training and built a solid academic and clinical trajectory. Throughout my career, I have worked in high-complexity environments within Brazil’s public–private healthcare system, particularly under the management of Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein. I have led multidisciplinary teams, implemented evidence-based protocols, strengthened patient safety initiatives, and contributed to optimizing emergency and urgent care services. My work also includes coordinating Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition Teams (EMTN) and supporting strategic improvements in clinical governance. For more than three decades, I have been actively engaged in teaching and academic leadership. I serve as a professor and program coordinator in postgraduate courses on clinical nutrition, phytotherapy, integrative medicine, and homeopathy at renowned institutions. My teaching emphasizes the integration of biomedical science with traditional healing systems, bringing together modern nutrition, metabolomics, and TCM-based therapeutic reasoning. I also participate in national and international congresses, collaborate on regulatory consulting (ANVISA), and contribute as a peer reviewer for scientific journals, helping advance integrative and interdisciplinary approaches in healthcare.
