Madalina Ionita

I graduated from medical school in 2002 and have been practicing medicine in the UK ever since. My early postgraduate years were spent in hospital medicine, where I gained experience across general and plastic surgery, respiratory medicine, and endocrinology. I later moved into emergency care, working as a specialty emergency doctor in the A&E Departments at Poole General Hospital and the Royal Bournemouth Hospital. During this time, I completed ATLS, EPLS, and ALS training, which strengthened my ability to manage acute and time-critical situations. In 2015, I transitioned into a corporate medical screening role with Roodlane Medical in London. I now have more than ten years of experience in health screening, during which I have developed a strong understanding of preventative health, early detection, and long-term risk management. I take a holistic approach to assessing medical issues, always considering the wider context of lifestyle, wellbeing, and evidence-based guidelines. I am particularly passionate about identifying and managing cardiac risk factors, and I place strong emphasis on prevention as a way to help people maintain long-term health. In addition to my clinical work, I hold a postgraduate certificate in aesthetic medicine (with distinction) from Queen Mary University of London.
