Kevin Devassy

I am Dr. Kevin Devassy, a dedicated and compassionate General Physician based in Ernakulam, Kerala, with hands-on experience in primary healthcare under the National Health Mission (NHM Kerala). Since February 2024, I have been serving at the Urban Health & Wellness Centre (UHWC), E-Colony, Angamaly, providing comprehensive outpatient care to patients across diverse age groups and medical conditions. In my role, I manage a wide spectrum of acute and chronic illnesses, including non-communicable diseases, and deliver primary care for common paediatric conditions. I am skilled in performing essential minor surgical procedures such as wound debridement, abscess management, and suturing, ensuring safe and effective patient care. I have actively participated in telemedicine services through the eSanjeevani platform, assisting in specialist consultations for complex cases, and am registered as a Teleconsultation Provider, which demonstrates my readiness to independently manage virtual consultations. Maintaining accurate and detailed electronic medical records (EMR) is a key part of my practice, allowing for effective patient follow-up and compliance with clinical standards. I am proficient in modern healthcare workflows, including computer-based reporting, data entry, and telehealth documentation, which supports efficient and patient-centered care. My certifications include Emergency Cardiovascular Life Support (eCLS), valid until 2027, along with NHM e-learning programs on the management of common emergencies, burns, trauma care, and non-communicable diseases. Fluent in English, Malayalam, and Hindi, with basic working knowledge of Kannada, I am able to communicate effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds.
