In Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, I managed emergency conditions such as cardiac arrest, diabetic ketoacidosis, anaphylaxis, severe asthma, sickle cell crises, and upper GI bleeding under supervision, while performing procedures like securing airways, IV lines, NG tubes, urinary catheterizations, lumbar punctures, and abdominal paracentesis. In Surgery, I assisted in operations including appendectomies, exploratory laparotomies, thyroidectomies, and cholecystectomies, and independently performed minor procedures like wound suturing, incision and drainage, and cyst excisions under guidance. My Obstetrics and Gynecology rotation involved labor room management, vaginal delivery follow-ups, pre- and postoperative care for cesarean sections, and assisting in or performing procedures such as D&C. These experiences honed my ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of ailments, prescribe evidence-based medications, interpret investigations, and maintain accurate medical records, all while prioritizing patient-centered care in fast-paced environments. I am ACLS and BLS certified, fluent in Arabic and English, and possess strong soft skills in leadership, communication, problem-solving, and time management. These have enabled me to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, interact compassionately with patients and stakeholders, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
